Hailing from Houston, Texas, Shane found at an early age that even in a hot, sprawling, car-centric concrete jungle, freedom is on two wheels powered by two legs. He has ridden thousands upon thousands of miles of road and trail, often on unique bikes built from salvaged parts and frames acquired from Craigslist, thrift stores, bike shops, and friends. While he can appreciate the newest and shiniest rides, he gets a thrill from wrenching new life into old bikes, as well as seeing the stoke on people’s faces when they realize how awesome their old bike actually is!
